    Description

    This is 25 new  #4X1/2″, 18-8
    stainless steel
    phillips head replacement pickguard screws for Fender Stratocaster and other guitars.
    People ask me if these screws are “Hardened”.
    Because of the low carbon content, many stainless steel alloys (300  Series) cannot be hardened through heat treatment, but they can be work hardened. That treatment is generally reserved for bolts and nuts, not for screws that are under low stress like these.
    NOTE: I no longer ship this item with the 70 cent non-machineable stamp due to the lack of tracking resulting in too many Lost items.
